Hasini Perkins joined the ACLU of Delaware in January of 2023. As the Racial Justice Organizer, he will be working jointly with the ACLU, Network Delaware, and other housing coalition partners to lead community organizing around the Right to Representation for Eviction Defense Campaign.
Hasini is a proud lifetime resident of Wilmington, where he is part of a close knit community of family members and neighbors who have been his constant motivation and support system. His own life expereinces have made him passionate about ensuring that others facing similar challenges have access to avenues to take ownership of their lives and make meaningful changes for themselves and their larger communities.
Hasini draws his strength from his mother, wife, children and grandchildren. He is excited to work towards leveling the playing field between landlords and renters and ensuring that Delawareans have access to affordable housing.
