Police Reform Listening Session

March 16, 2021 @ 6:30 am

Join us on Tuesday, March 16, at 6:30 pm via Zoom for a virtual listening session. This event will give an update on the work happening in Delaware on police reform, featuring Delawareans joining us to share their own experiences with police brutality, and moderated by Haneef Salaam, Delaware Campaign for Smart Justice manager.

We will provide a brief overview of the Law Enforcement Officer's Bill of Rights (LEOBOR) and the changes needed to allow for effective citizen review boards and public access to police disciplinary records. We will also give an overview of the General Assembly's Law Enforcement Accountability Task Force and planned next steps on police reform.

Registration is required for our zoom event, but it will also be streamed live on our Campaign for Smart Justice Facebook page. (no registration required to tune in there). To register, please email Morgan Keller, communications director, at mkeller@aclu-de.org with the subject "Police Reform Listening Session RSVP."

Viewers are encouraged to participate in the conversation using our Zoom chat or the comments on the Facebook livestream.
