Policing in Wilmington: A Community Conversation
Join your community members to discuss policing issues in Wilmington.
Delaware's policing systems should keep communities safe, treat people fairly, and use resources wisely in order to build and maintain trust with the community. The first step to a better system is acknowledging the issues. We're holding a listening session to hear directly from the people of Wilmington about the issues they have faced and the change they wish to see in their city.
This event will also include a Know Your Rights presentation to make sure Delawareans are informed about the rights and protections they have when interacting with the police.

The film will be followed by a discussion on the landscape of trans rights in Delaware and what you can do to advocate for our trans community.
About The Film
Fearless civil rights lawyer Chase Strangio battles at the Supreme Court for transgender adolescents’ access to gender-affirming healthcare, confronting not only the legal system but also a media landscape that distorts public perception and threatens the struggle for trans rights. With the dangerous SCOTUS decision upholding the ban on life-saving healthcare, Heightened Scrutiny is an urgent call to action against bigotry and injustice.
