I am passionate about the ACLU because I believe that the truest test of a great society is how it treats its most vulnerable members.

The ACLU is the one organization we can count on to stand up for the rights of the most marginalized Americans. There is a rotating cast of Americans whom the majority uses as a scapegoat: political, racial, religious and sexual minorities, undocumented immigrants, prisoners and so on.

It is the proud and difficult role of the ACLU to be ever vigilant that no one be denied their basic human rights.
