Join ACLU of Delaware's Campaign for Smart Justice and Every Vote Counts Campaign (EVC) on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Kirkwood Library for a community town hall and panel conversation focusing on protecting the right to vote, including for voters who are currently incarcerated and those impacted by the criminal legal system. This event will bring together community members, directly impacted advocates, and local leaders to discuss what steps we can take to guarantee every eligible voter has access to the ballot.
Participants will hear personal stories, legislative perspectives, and learn how to take action for a fairer justice system and stronger democracy. Together, we'll explore solutions to reduce incarceration for technical violations, protect voting rights, and ensure every Delawarean's vote counts.
You will leave the program with an understanding of the EVC campaign’s ongoing felony re-enfranchisement efforts, how voting rights work relates to probation reform efforts, and ways to connect with the EVC and justice reform campaigns.
