Delaware Voting Rights Coalition Re-Launches Comprehensive Voter Guide Ahead of the September 15 Primary Elections

WILMINGTON — For the fourth year, the Delaware Voting Rights Coalition (DVRC) is organizing a public education campaign to inform Delaware voters about the upcoming 2026 Primary Election on Tuesday, September 15. The campaign centers around the re-launch of the comprehensive voter guide, “How to Vote in Delaware’s 2026 Primary Elections,” which features information on the races, the available voting options, and QR codes for easy navigation to voter information websites like VoteDelaware.org, ACLU of Delaware’s voter education website, Vote411, the League of Women Voters’ voter education website, and the Department of Elections’ informational website and online voter portal.
Voters can access and download the updated voter guide in addition to voter information graphics to share on social media, both of which are available in both English and Spanish.

The comprehensive voter guide features information on where, when, and how to vote this September. The voter guide also provides links to VoteDelaware.org, ACLU of Delaware’s voter education website, and Vote411.org/lwvde, the League of Women Voters’ voter education website. Both feature detailed candidate questionnaires and information on events like candidate forums and meet and greets, allowing voters to learn more about the candidates running in their districts and their positions on key issues. Important information about accessibility is also included in the voter guide, a topic which remains an important legislative and voter education priority for the DVRC.
Reducing barriers to voter participation strengthens our democracy, leads to fairer representation, and encourages our communities to stay engaged with local politics outside of an election cycle. One common barrier for potential voters is a lack of information.
“Accessing information about voting is time-consuming, and it’s easy for people to become overwhelmed or lack the time to fully engage. Busy Delawareans may find the task to be daunting if they haven’t been following the races closely and consequently don’t feel well informed enough to weigh in on issues that will affect their entire communities,” said Jill Itzkowitz of the League of Women Voters of Delaware. “Aggregating all relevant election and candidate information in one place reduces those barriers and enables people to choose their candidates with discernment, identify their correct polling location, and make a detailed plan to vote in advance of Election Day.”
The DVRC works to equip voters with timely and accurate information that allows them to create their voting plan easily and efficiently, instills confidence in their candidate selections, and empowers them to become active participants in shaping the future of our state through electoral politics.
“The right to vote has been the subject of a hard-fought, uphill battle in this country, and that fight is far from over,” said Andrew Bernstein, Civic Engagement Counsel at the ACLU of Delaware. “It is essential that when election season rolls around, we all take the opportunity to exercise our freedom to vote and take that responsibility seriously for the sake of our communities and our shared future.”
With the primary elections 36 days away, the DVRC encourages all voters to visit “How to Vote in Delaware’s 2026 Primary Elections,” and make a personalized plan to cast their ballots. Voters can vote early at any early voting location in their county from September 2 to September 5, on September 8, and from September 9 to September 13. (Early voting locations will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on September 6 and 7.) Voters may also visit their assigned polling location in person on Election Day, Tuesday, September 15, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and eligible voters may vote absentee.
