Ryan Tack-Hooper has said that the ACLU was always something he aspired to join because it represented the idea that lawyers could be a force for good. He graduated Cum Laude from New York University School of Law in 2009, and dove straight into the ACLU’s battlefields. Tack-Hooper has worked at several ACLU affiliates, most notably during his tenure as the Delaware ACLU’s legal director from 2015 to 2019. He now lives in Seattle with his wife and children, specializing in class action lawsuits as a partner at the Terrell Marshall Law Group.
