Bio
A Sussex County native, Danielle is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Policy with a focus in Wildlife Conservation. Her work is grounded in the belief that democracy must serve people over profit and protect the intersectional rights, dignity, and futures of all communities.
Danielle has dedicated her career to public service and community advocacy, including two terms of AmeriCorps through Public Allies Delaware and Teach For America Delaware, and serving as an Environmental Educator with the Peace Corps in Paraguay. Her background spans nonprofit leadership, asset-based community development, environmental stewardship, volunteer management, social media marketing, and social justice organizing.
She is especially passionate about advancing equity for LGBTQ+ communities, defending Indigenous rights and sovereignty, and protecting the environment through bold, conservation-centered policy.
Outside of her work with the ACLU of Delaware, Danielle enjoys cultivating edible and medicinal landscapes, sustainable thrifting, and raising her two young children to value compassion, community, and care for the planet.
