Helen joined the ACLU of Delaware team as a Campaign Manager in January of 2023. After graduating from the University of Mary Washington, Helen spent two years at Sojourners in Washington, D.C., where she supported various legislative and advocacy campaigns. Eager to get involved during the 2020 election season, Helen worked as an Assistant Canvas Director and Field Organizer with Grass Roots Campaigns, Inc.

Before joining the ACLU, Helen had just returned from a year in Dundee, Scotland, where she engaged in community development work in areas of high deprivation across the city. As Campaign Manager, Helen leads advocacy campaigns focused on immigrants' rights.

Helen is dedicated to empowering people to work together to build a more just and equitable world. She strongly believes that every voice is needed to create lasting change. Outside of the office, Helen enjoys baking and cooking, playing board games, and traveling. She’s always planning her next trip!

Today, September 17, is Constitution Day. The U.S. Constitution is an enduring document that formed the foundation of America. It designed our government by creating checks and balances and establishing fundamental rights. It’s also a living document that can be added to and amended to address new problems or situations.
