Protect Sensitive Locations: Take Action on House Substitute 2 for House Bill 94
Right now, Delaware’s General Assembly has a role to play.
Help us pass House Substitute 2 for House Bill 94 NOW.
House Substitute 2 for House Bill 94 (HS 2 for HB 94) is legislation that will limit local law enforcement from participating in ICE arrests of people at sensitive places such as schools, medical facilities, and places of worship. The bill passed the House, was assigned to the Corrections & Public Safety Committee in the Senate, and is now out of committee and awaiting consideration in the Senate.
There's no time to wait. Our immigrant neighbors here in Delaware are terrified — scared to go to work, to go grocery shopping, and are left wondering if their loved ones will make it home at the end of the day.
Take action now:
Send a Message to Gov. Meyer and the General Assembly
Send a message to Governor Meyer and the Delaware General Assembly, urging them to take immediate action to push back against Trump and his anti-immigrant agenda and ensure that our state’s immigrant communities are protected.
Governor Meyer must issue renewed guidance that explicitly and permanently closes backdoor channels for collaboration with ICE.
The General Assembly must pass critical legislation that ensures Delaware remains a place where all people — regardless of immigration or citizenship status — can live without fear and are guaranteed the civil rights and liberties of every person in this country.
