Just Mercy: A Screening with the Campaign for Smart Justice

January 16, 2020 @ 6:00 pm
@ 9:30 pm

Just Mercy takes us inside America’s broken criminal justice system and compels us to confront inequality and injustice.

Based on the bestselling book, the Just Mercy movie presents the unforgettable story of Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) and the case of Walter McMillian (Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx), who was convicted and sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit.

Join the ACLU of Delaware and the Delaware Campaign for Smart Justice at this film screening to celebrate Delaware’s own Bryan Stevenson, the work of the Equal Justice Initiative, our criminal justice reform success so far, and all the work we’ll be doing in 2020! We'll be providing pizza, snacks, and drinks—all included in the price of your ticket!

6:00pm at Penn Cinema on the Riverfront
