Police Reform Canvassing (New Castle)

March 18, 2023 @ 1:00 pm

In the wake of continued police brutality and misconduct, we are reaffirming our commitment to advocate for meaningful action to increase accountability and transparency in policing. An important part of this fight is ensuring that our communities are equipped with the channels and resources to share their stories.

That’s why we’re going door-to-door– can we count on your support? On Saturday, March 18 from 1-3 p.m., we will be canvassing the Dunleith and Arbor Place neighborhoods in New Castle to hear and learn about the interactions and experiences community members have had with the police. Please arrive at the Route 9 Public Library at 12:45 p.m.

We need your help getting Delawareans mobilized around one of the most important issues facing our communities: the need for police reform.

This canvassing effort is a three-part series in New Castle County. Join us for one, two, or three canvases. Visit aclu-de.org/events for more information.

If you have questions about this event or future canvasses, please contact Smart Justice Campaign Manager, Haneef Salaam, at hsalaam@aclu-de.org.
