Voting Rights: How Far We've Come and How Far We Have to Go

January 29, 2020 @ 6:00 pm
January 30, 2020 @ 7:45 pm

Voting is the foundation of our great democracy—but can our democracy function at its greatest when millions of Americans still don’t have access to the ballot?

We're teaming up with the Delaware Historical Society and the Wilmington Library to bring you to a presentation from on voting rights in America.

Morgan Keller, our Communications Manager, will walk you through a brief history of the challenges and triumphs voting rights have seen since our democracy was founded, then lead a discussion about the current state of voting rights.

We’ll talk about the groups of people who are most often ineligible to vote, the impact those missing votes have on our government, and what we can do to help ensure every Delawarean, and every American, can fully participate in our democratic process.

We hope to see you there!
