How to Vote in Delaware's Primary Election: What's New in 2022

Note: The resources below were created for the Primary Election. Our updated guide for the General Election will be available mid-October. We will update this page with that guide as soon as it's available.

When it comes to voting in Delaware’s 2022 elections, voters have no shortage of options. Delawareans can choose to vote absentee, if they qualify, or vote early. They can register to vote online, through a paper application, or when they show up to cast their ballot on Election Day. Expanded access to voting is here — and we're making sure all Delaware voters know their options.

The Delaware Voting Rights Coalition (DVRC) has launched an organized public education campaign to inform Delaware voters about the changes to voting in the 2022 elections. The campaign centers around a comprehensive voter guide, “How to Vote in Delaware’s Primary Election: What’s New in 2022,” and features information on early voting, voting by mail, and same-day registration, as well as links to all the resources any voter will need for more info.

Vote By Mail

Delaware’s vote by mail law is pending consideration by the Delaware Supreme Court. We look forward to seeing the Supreme Court’s decision on voting by mail in Delaware, and will update Delawareans on the availability of vote by mail once a decision has been made.
