With the Delaware legislative session coming to a close on June 30, 2026, now is the time to make your voice heard.

Join us for weekly interactive advocacy training and action opportunities for you to build the skills, confidence and experience to engage directly with lawmakers during the final weeks of session.

Participants will receive a refresher on how to communicate with elected officials and will have the opportunity to put their skills into practice by participating in committee hearings and meeting directly with legislators to advocate on key issues and legislation.

These weekly sessions are designed to be flexible. Attend one session or join us every week, you are welcome to take part in as many sessions as your schedule allows. Whether you’re new to advocacy or looking to strengthen your skills, these events will provide hands-on experience and support every step of the way.

Join us to learn, take action, and advocate for the issues that matter most before the legislative session ends on June 30. No prior advocacy experience is required—just a willingness to make your voice heard!

Topics and Legislation We’ll Focus On

Immigrants’ Rights

  • HS 2 for HB 94 limits local law enforcement from participating in ICE arrests of people at schools, medical facilities and places of worship.
  • HS 1 for HB 368 prohibits local law enforcement from detaining or extending detention solely based on an immigration detainer or civil immigration warrant.
  • Private Right of Action legislation would allow individuals to seek damages and accountability from government officials and officers who violate the U.S. Constitution.

Voting Rights

  • HB 88 would remove barriers that prevent same-day voter registration.
  • HB 180 will restore voting rights after felony incarceration.
  • The Delaware John Lewis Voting Rights Act (HB 444) is a state-level law designed to safeguard voting rights in the state amid weakening federal protections under the VRA of 1965. The legislation addresses discriminatory practices, voter suppression, and inequities in access to elections.

Privacy

  • HS 1 for HB 145 prohibits the use of reverse-keyword searches, except for limited circumstances.
