Consuming Questions: Central America

The Delaware Humanities Forum is hosting its first Consuming Questions program, complete with a delicious meal filled with community conversation. This forum's subject will be Central America and will include questions such as:

  • What does it mean to be "Fair Trade"?
  • What is it like to be a farmer in Central America?
  • Why do people move from Guatemala to Delaware?
  • What could new immigration policies mean for Delaware?
  • What could new immigration polices mean for Delaware?

The discussion will be led by Dr. Lindsay Naylor and Dr. April Veness of the University of Delaware's Geography Department. Dr. Naylor studies agriculture in Latin America and Dr. Veness works with Guatemalans in Delaware and abroad.

The event is $25 per person and the menu is fixed.

Seating is limited and registration is required.
