The Delaware Voting rights act: What It Is & Why It Matters

Voting is a cornerstone of our democracy.

Yet barriers to voting exist everywhere in our society and impact our most marginalized communities at a disproportionate rate. And the most important tool in the fight against discriminatory voting laws, the federal Voting Rights Act, has been steadily weakened since its enactment.

Join Women's March Sussex Delaware and the ACLU of Delaware in-person or online to learn about the effort to restore the crown jewel of the civil rights movement right here in Delaware with a state-level voting rights act.

Attendees will learn how the federal Voting Rights Act has been weakened, what that means for vulnerable voters, and how we can fight back together.

Learn more about the DE VRA campaign!

Attacks on voting rights are only accelerating. That’s why Delaware must pass the Delaware Voting Rights Act (DE VRA) to protect and expand the right to vote in Delaware.

Join our efforts to push back against the assault on democracy until every vote matters and every voice is heard.
