Delaware John Lewis Voting Rights Act Rally at Legislative Hall

The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy — and it must be protected. Join Rep. Lambert, Sen. Pinkney, the NAACP LDF, and the ACLU of DE for a Rally at Legislative Hall on Friday June 5th at 12pm, as our state legislators formally introduce the State Level Voting Rights Act. This landmark legislation represents a critical step toward ensuring fair, accessible, and protected voting for all eligible residents. We are gathering to send a clear message: our community supports strong voting protections and will not stand by while the right to vote is threatened or suppressed. Together, we will call on our elected officials to act swiftly and boldly in defense of democracy. All are welcome. This is a peaceful, public rally open to community members, advocates, faith leaders, students, and anyone who believes every vote must count.

Policing in Wilmington: A Community Conversation, June 18 5-7pm

Policing in Wilmington: A Community Conversation

Join your community members to discuss policing issues in Wilmington. Delaware's policing systems should keep communities safe, treat people fairly, and use resources wisely in order to build and maintain trust with the community. The first step to a better system is acknowledging the issues. We're holding a listening session to hear directly from the people of Wilmington about the issues they have faced and the change they wish to see in their city. This event will also include a Know Your Rights presentation to make sure Delawareans are informed about the rights and protections they have when interacting with the police. Make your voice heard and learn more about your constitutional rights from civil rights advocates in Delaware!
