On July 2, 1964, President Lyndon Johnson signed the historic Civil Rights Act into law. On Wednesday, July 2, 2014, a series of events sponsored by organizations and community groups will be convened across the State of Delaware to commemorate 50th anniversary of this landmark legislation.

United in Anger: A History of ACT UP is the first feature-length documentary to explore ACT UP (AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power) from an historical perspective and describes how a small group of men and women of all races and classes came together to change the world and save each other's lives.

The monthly meeting of Delaware Citizens Opposed to the Death Penalty (DCODP) will take place at Pacem in Terris' office at 6 pm. Meetings are always the fourth Monday of the month.

Initiated by Dr. Yasser Payne of University of Delaware’s Department of Black American Studies, this collaborative exhibition focuses on issues of structural inequality and physical violence in and around Wilmington through local and regional visual art, poetry, music, and more.
