Senate Bill 112

  • Status: Signed by Governor
  • Position: Support
  • Bill Number: Senate Bill 112
  • Session: 151st General Assembly
  • Latest Update: April 14, 2021
SB 112

For up to 400,000 Delawareans living with a record, life comes with barriers to housing, employment, education, credit, and more. People living with records are half as likely as other jobseekers to get a callback from an employer. These roadblocks can be detrimental to a person’s ability to be a fully contributing member of society — which often leads to a continuum of incarceration and poverty.

SB 112 expands eligibility for expungement, allowing more Delawareans living with records to receive a second chance and participate fully in social and civic community life.
