Transparency and accountability are necessary for due process, a fairer criminal justice system, trust between our police and communities, and trust within law enforcement agencies.

Several community organizations from across the state are coming together to form the Delaware Voting Rights Coalition (DVRC), Delaware’s first statewide coalition focused strictly on expanding access to voting. 

Community advocates and members of the General Assembly’s Law Enforcement Accountability Task Force (LEATF) subcommittees sent a letter to legislators on Monday, March 29, asking them to act quickly on meaningful amendments to the Law-Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights (LEOBOR).

After we sent a letter to legislators asking them to consider a repeal of the panhandling statute rather than passing House Bill 58, the panhandling bill, they struck that bill from the list of bills under consideration and one of the bill cosponsors has shown support for exploring other options.
