Yesterday the ACLU of Delaware organized a public town hall event at the Greater Newark Boys & Girls Club to ask New Castle County residents one main question: “What have your experiences been with the police in your community?”

Gov. Carney's FY 2024 budget in a public livestreamed presentation, which included significant funding to address housing issues. $1.5 million of the housing budget is said to be dedicated to “funding to support a tenant’s right to representation in eviction proceedings."

Yesterday the ACLU of Delaware met publicly with state officials to discuss key issues and bills they will be advocating for in 2023. Top priorities include the right to representation in eviction proceedings for renters, Medicaid-funded abortion, and reforming Delaware’s probation system.

On November 28th, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled in favor of the late Angelo Clark, who despite having serious and known mental health issues, was placed in solitary confinement by DOC officials for seven months while housed in a Delaware prison.
