Julia joined ACLU-DE as an Executive Support Assistant in June 2025. She is a values-driven coach, educator, and facilitator with a background in somatic therapeutics, restorative practices, and transformational leadership that informs her holistic, relationship-based approach. Fueled by her belief in the transformative power of healthy relationships, Julia's work centers on personal and collective growth and healing.
As a small business owner and non-profit director, Julia designs and guides the implementation of the Restorative Equity Program within non-profit organizations and schools. She is a Youth and Family Coach, specializing in harm transformation and works primarily with adolescents and young adults. She is a practitioner of Restorative Equity in Education, most recently as the K-12 Restorative Interventionist at Sussex Academy of Arts and Sciences in Sussex County, Delaware.
In addition to holding a master’s degree in Equity, Social Justice, and Transformational Leadership, Julia is a certified yoga and meditation teacher and somatic coach. She received her B.A. as a Dean’s Scholar from the University of Delaware, focusing on Cognitive Anthropology, Eastern religious philosophies, Linguistics, and Mandarin. She is currently pursuing a doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with a research focus on the therapeutic potential of decoding social identity as a holistic healing practice. She has had the honor of learning from globally recognized facilitators and organizations, including Sonya Shah (Bay Area Ahimsa Collective), Kay Pranis (Eastern Mennonite University’s Summer Peacebuilding Institute), and Kazu Haga (East Point Peace Academy).
